AJHS ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, November 20, 2008 Blue Day-27th Day of Second 9 Weeks
Good Morning!
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tigers R Update: Students, we need you to focus your attention on making certain you are getting to campus on time each morning. The count for Goal #1, tardies, is on Day 27. The count for Goal #2, zero fights, is on Day 4. Please work hard to resolve your conflicts peacefully. Your teachers, counselors and administrators are available. As for Goal #3, reducing disrespectful, defiant behavior referrals, you are on track and are on Day 27! Keep working on being respectful, responsible, and ready every day at Auburn Junior High School.
Students: Review the Tigers R guidelines for afternoon bus behavior. Be sure you are walking in the bus line, respecting other’s personal space, not pushing or shoving, and remaining behind the “get-back line” as you wait for your buses to arrive. Safety is everyone’s responsibility!
Our Character Education Word of the Week is Honesty: telling the truth, admitting wrongdoing, and acting in such a way that others can trust.
The cafeteria lunch menu for today: crispy chicken sandwich, baby baked potatoes, lettuce/pickle, and chilled applesauce
The AJHS Food Drive is underway! Be sure to bring in your canned food items. Which team will bring in the most? The collection deadline has been extended to next Monday, November 24th. Please make an extra effort to contribute to this important cause. Did you know that 27% of Lee County families do not have enough food? Many older people must decide between food, medicine, or utilities. Your donation will go directly to those families in Lee County. Make a difference!
Congratulations to the November Students of the Month: Christine Song, Eli Haddock, Chris Pate, Abby Hinson, Ty Godfrey, Kelsea Kind, Bonny Chen, Duygu Kucuktas, and Racheal Washington. They will be honored at a luncheon on Thursday, November 20, at 11: 30 a.m. in the AJHS Media Center.
Auburn City Schools will be closed Wednesday, November 26th, through Friday, November 28th, for Thanksgiving holidays.
