BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

 

Text Box: What is the Birthday Book Club?                      The Birthday Book Club is a way to make your child feel extra special on his/her birthday and at the same time help OES acquire new books for the school’s library media center. 

 

How does the Birthday Book Club work?

 

 

 

Ogletree Elementary School’s Birthday Book Club offers a special way to recognize a child's birthday and at the same time benefit our school. Students who contribute to the Birthday Book Club are invited to select a library book of their choice from a wide variety of new books we have on reserve for this purpose. A commemorative bookplate displaying the child's name and birthday will be affixed to the book. Once the book has been added to the library's

                                                                permanent collection, the birthday child will be the first to check it out.  The student will also have his/her picture added

to our Birthday Book Club wall, receive special recognition on the school’s web page as well an invitation to the  monthly birthday party held in the media center.

 

If you would like to participate in this worthwhile program, please:

 

· Print and fill in the form at the bottom of this page.

 

· Write a check for $10 to contribute towards the cost of a new library book.  Checks should be made payable to Ogletree Elementary School. Please specify "Birthday Book Club" on the bottom of the check.

 

· Return the completed form and the check to the OES Library.

 

· You may pay anytime during the year or the month of your child’s birthday.

 

AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAYS WILL BE CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER SO THAT EVERYONE HAS TIME TO TURN IN THEIR FORMS.
