The mission of the Ogletree Elementary School Media Center is to educate, love, respect, nurture and believe in each student as we prepare them to become productive citizens now and in the future through a resource-rich, student centered learning environment."

Media Center Purpose and Design

Media Center programs are created for the purpose of facilitating students for instruction, independent study, use of technology and guided selection of literature.  The media program reflects and supports the philosophy, shares and implements the objectives and is involved in the teaching and learning process of Ogletree Elementary School.   The media programs are designed to provide a wide variety of experiences and techniques for optimum development of students in order to broaden and enrich their learning experiences. The program design provides reading guidance, curriculum support, skills instruction, varied experiences and techniques, unit studies, and small group instruction and enrichment.  The media specialist assists the teachers in securing materials for units of study and ordering materials needed for that curriculum area.
