Mrs. Susan Larsen

  I am very happy to be the Library Media Specialist at Richland Elementary School.   I have lived here in Auburn for almost 18 years.  I  have three children who happen to be the best kids in the world!.  Megan is a sophomore at Troy University and throws the javelin for the track team, Tyler is a senior at AHS and plays soccer and Sarah Jo is in the 9th grade and currently is a candy striper volunteer at EAMC!    I was a PE teacher for 13 years and I have been a School Librarian for 6 years now.   I was very fortunate to open this school library and love to see the way it has grown with the reading interests and needs of the students and school.    It is a wonderful learning space and I am very excited at the projects and reading that take place here at our school.   

A few of my favorite things are gymnastics, the circus, being outdoors, mountain biking with crashes and of course using my iPad!  

My name is Mrs. Susan Larsen and I am the Media Assistant.  I am married to Tim Larsen, and we own The Hardwood Flooring Co.  We have two children, and they both go to Opelika High School.  Jim is a senior this year and Meg is a sophomore.  I feel at home in the library at Richland, and look forward to a great year.

A few of my favorite things are reading, traveling, and playing tennis.  I am also a huge tennis fan and enjoy watching my children and professional tennis.

I am pleased to be working in the Media Center because reading is one of my favorite hobbies!!
